Inviting Vermont College Students: Community Forums on Climate Change and Its Impact Among Low- and Moderate Income Vermonters – Oct. 5

As the state of Vermont is working to draft its Climate Action Plan, I am working with Vermont CAP Agencies to engage and empower low- and moderate- income Vermonters on the issue of climate change. I am sending this email in this capacity, seeking your help to reach out to college students who are interested in this issue. I hope we can count on your support to spread the word among your students

The virtual community forum for college students will be hosted on October 5, 2021 (Tuesday) from 6.00 to 7.00 PM via Zoom. Students can register for this forum using this link: https://bit.ly/VCAPForum-Colleges

During the forum, we will provide information on work of the Climate Council and drafting of the Climate Action plan, share and learn from personal stories as it relates to the impact of climate change, and present various opportunities for the students to get engaged in empowering low- and moderate-income Vermonters.  By attending one of the forums, students will enter a raffle to win gifts, including several $50 VISA gift cards and warm and fuzzy blankets (gifted by a small business in Winooski). Attached flyer has more details.

Thank you so much for your help in advance. Appreciate all you continue to do. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, and/or suggestions.
