Across Vermont opiate addiction affects every community in some manner. We hope to identify resources currently available and to identify need where resources are lacking. This summit series has been organized to bring a wide variety of stakeholders into one room to understand components that other stakeholders deal with regarding the opiate crisis in Vermont. This is the first of a 4-part series of summits to bring a wider and more coordinated voice to the opiate problem in Vermont. It also services to provide an inventory of resource statewide and to identify areas of services that may be provided regionally, but not in a comprehensive manner statewide. This summit series seeks to identify pathways of recovery for those who are ready to seek help and to find resources other than incarceration wherever possible.
