About this Opiate Addiction Summit
“Puzzles pieces” are key words to describe one of the goals of this Opiate Addiction Summit.
Across Vermont opiate addiction affects every community in some manner. We hope to identify resources currently available and to identify need where resources are lacking.
This summit series has been organized to bring a wide variety of stakeholders into one room to understand components that other stakeholders deal with regarding the opiate crisis in Vermont.  This is the first of a 4-part series of summits to bring a wider and more coordinated voice to the opiate problem in Vermont. It also services to provide an inventory of resource statewide and to identify areas of services that may be provided regionally, but not in a comprehensive manner statewide. This summit series seeks to identify pathways of recovery for those who are ready to seek help and to find resources other than incarceration wherever possible.
Vermont Department of Health: Raw Data on the opiate problem in Vermont.
Providing better communication between stakeholders
To better facilitate more available recovery options for those seeking treatment
Networking recovery resources
Cataloguing all statewide resources
Communications on resources to consumers
Workforce development and addiction
Long-term recovery models
Please feel free to share with any stakeholders within your respective organizations / listservs. A zoom link will be sent out early next week.

Thank you for all for the work you do and have a blessed evening.
