For the last 3 weekends the Catamount Trail Association has been partnering with the Winooski Parks Department to offer free nordic ski rentals at the Gilbrook Nature Area on Saturdays and the reception has been much better than anticipated!
We have another nordic program ramping up and we’re thin on support for the Gilbrook Program. Help is needed on Saturday, February 13th, 20th, and 27th from 10-1pm at the Gilbrook Nature Area. The first 1.5 hours is the busiest and is when the most help is needed. Volunteers would be responsible for helping interested skiers find appropriate boots/skis/poles, and then receiving the equipment and packing it up.
