Climate Changing Gardening Virtual Panel Discussions

Vermont Garden Network presents a virtual panel discussion on the impacts of climate change on gardening (and gardeners) through a food security lens.

PART 1: How food secure are we? How do we grow food in a changing climate, improve food systems, address equity gaps and be better prepared to feed ourselves and our neighbors?

PART 2: Floods, frost and fungus – how do we mitigate and adjust for the direct consequences of climate change? What are strategies for improving soil health and managing weather fluctuations; what can we expect from pests and diseases and how do we protect our plants?

PART 3: Strategies, Resources and Adaptations: What have we learned and what has us stumped? Sharing ideas, long-term strategies and community-based solutions.
