Catamount Trail News – Fall Trail Work & XC Ski Needs

DONATE YOUR USED XC SKIS TO THE CTA!

Before you take those old classic XC skis to the nearest ski swap…Please consider donating them to the Catamount Trail Association to help us continue running, and expanding, our free youth & community learn-to-ski programs!

We are working to purchase new equipment, but it’s been hard to find the quantity of skis we need, and donations of usable equipment would greatly enhance our ability to meet our growing needs.

We are currently accepting classic nordic skis, boots, bindings, and poles that are NNN compatible.
We are not accepting any SNS, SNSBC, or NNNBC compatible equipment.

Stay Tuned… More Coming Soon!

The Trapp Cabin Trail Races are back this year and will once again be held at the beautiful Trapp Family Outdoor Center in Stowe, VT. This perennial favorite is a great opportunity to try out trail running, pursue a personal best, or put the pedal down and go for the gold. It is also an important fundraiser for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports.

For 2021 there will also be an Adaptive Mountain Bike Ride. This is a special course suitable for wheelchair users. The 3 mile route loops around Sugar Road and Russell Knoll Track, both wider and undulating logging roads also used for Nordic skiing in the winter. Riders can choose to shorten the loop if needed, or repeat the loop to extend the ride.
