We are delighted to announce that Heather McGhee will be joining us at the AASHE Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (GCSHE) for a keynote conversation about her new book, The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together. Tune in on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. ET to learn how racism hurts higher education and limits the prospects for climate action. We are also pleased to share that Dina Gilio-Whitaker, author of As Long As Grass Grows: The Indigenous Fight for Environmental Justice from Colonization to Standing Rock, will be keynoting GCSHE on Oct. 12 at 4 a.m. ET. She will draw from her forthcoming book to argue that a sustainable future must simultaneously incorporate Indigenous knowledge and a decolonial ethic of political accountability to Indigenous nations for its ongoing genocidal settler structure. The conference is less than one month away! Register today to hear inspiring ideas and thoughts to support you and your community to do the urgent work of building a future that is sustainable, equitable and resilient. |
