CRITICAL NEED – Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteer drivers in Burlington and South Burlington to deliver hot, nutritious meals to home bound elders. Drivers pick up food at central locations and deliver to elders along a route. Volunteers also chat with elders and report any changes and/or concerns to staff. Flexible time commitments from 1 weekday a week to 1 weekday a month from about 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Local businesses looking for a chance to give back are encouraged to adopt a route in their community! FIND A HOME – Franklin County Animal Rescue is seeking volunteers to help visitors find new feline family members. Volunteers introduce families to cats that might be right for them and answer questions the adopters may have. They also make follow-up calls to be sure folks are happy with their new family member. Training provided with staff and cats! There is also an opportunity for youngsters, grades 1 through 8 to come in and read to the cats to help reduce stress and provide adopters a chance to see how the cats interact with children. PROJECT COORDINATOR NEEDED – Essex CHIPS has need of part time volunteers to complete important special projects for the Executive Director. Projects may include grand research, grant writing, event planning, community engagement, and fund raising and may be accomplished remotely during the hours volunteers have available. RESTORING JUSTICE – City of Winooski has need for volunteers on its Restorative Justice Panel to help guide offenders through a restorative justice process. Flexible hours, usually Tuesday evening from 5-7:30 p.m., when there is a need. Contact Olivia Miller at 655-6410, Ext. 12, or email volunteer@winooskivt.org.

SAFE & WARM – Community Health Centers of Burlington needs volunteers at their low-barrier shelter for those experiencing homelessness. Volunteers help guests have access to relationships with the larger community, support guests getting settled in by showing them around, getting snacks, help with meal service at 6:30 each night, provide entertainment such as music, storytelling, conversation, etc. The Shelter offers services from November 1 through June 15 each day from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Volunteers can commit to one shift every week or every other week. IN THE STORE – Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity invites volunteers age 16 and up to help out at the ReStore in Milton. HOLIDAY GIVING – Lund is grateful for the generosity of the community in giving to children during the Holiday Season. They are looking for volunteers to help organize and sort toys, clothing, books and more so they can be distributed to the children before the holidays.
