EMERGE! – E.L.U. (Emerging Leaders United), an affinity group of United Way of Northwest Vermont, invites volunteers to join Vermont’s emerging leaders on October 3rd, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Main Street Landing in Burlington, to view “Paycheck to Paycheck: The Life and Times of Katrina Gilbert,” a film that tells the story of a year in the life on a mother and her daily struggles.  A facilitated discussion will follow. STEM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – RESET is looking for volunteer scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians (STEM) to lead students in hands-on STEM activities in Burlington elementary schools to get children excited about science and math learning.  Volunteers typically lead six sessions, about an hour each, with the same students and teacher.
