Position Overview:

Bike sharing is a sustainable, healthy, and community-based transportation option that enhances urban livability and mobility. Gotcha seeks a highly motivated General Manager who will launch and manage the bike share system in Burlington, VT.

Gotcha is looking for a professional who is passionate about urban mobility and the impact of bike share on the livability of a community. The General Manager will be responsible for system planning, implementation and operations.

Core functions include: day-to-day operations, communication with local stakeholders, strategic decision making, staffing, interacting with the public, marketing, logistics and customer service. Must work closely with local bike share team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversees bike share pre-launch activities, including site planning.
  • Coordinates community launch event for program kick-off.
  • Implements marketing campaigns and manages social media accounts.
  • Manages fleet team to ensure optimal system health.
  • Engages community members to boost membership, ridership and awareness.
  • Generates reports highlighting utilization data.
  • Responds to customer service inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Supports the overall success of the assigned network.

Desired Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least four (4) years of work experience in the areas of general management or operations.
  • Experience in logistics or transportation industries is a plus.
  • Ability to identify priorities and focus on critical tasks.
  • Experience working with government entities, businesses and non-profits.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including multi-tasking and time management.
  • Highly motivated and energetic.
  • Familiar with Vermont a plus!
