A weekly, slow paced cruise around Burlington for the lunch hour. Leaves IDX parking lot at 1pm and takes the easier, low stress streets. Our bicycle mechanic workshop in Juniper Hall available to all employees. It is staffed by our bike mechanic David on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30pm for you to drop in and ask any questions you have. Take your bike. Get info at champlain.edu/bike/champshop
ChampRides
Our free bikeshare system is working great, with the last 30 days being a record for the number of “rentals” and miles traveled. Have you tried it yet? Its easy, free and you can take a bike for up to 4 hours, just like a library. Get the info and sign the one time waiver at champlain.edu/bike/champrides. Want to learn more? We table in IDX Atrium every Tuesday from 9-10am too.
New Bike Parking
We have some great new bike parking in the center of campus on the renovated Rozendaal Courtyard. There is covered bike parking, a stand with tools and pump and new racks in three locations. Check out the photos attached and park your bike up there. You could not get closer to the center of campus any other way but walking. Have you seen the bike rack layer on the ChampTransportation Google Map?
Winter Bike Commuting Workshop
We plan to have a Winter Commuting workshop soon to help answer those questions or get you inspired to ride later into the year and maybe even all year round. Keep your eyes out for the event announcement soon.
