Abbott Stark (’05), co-founder and CMO (chief marketing officer) of Ogee
 
Abbott Stark graduated from Champlain in 2005 with a degree in accounting.  How he made his way to his current position as co founder and CMO of a very promising skin care products start up is a fascinating tale.  This spring, Abbott won the LaunchVT business pitch competition, earning close to $100,000 in cash and services for his young company.
In addition its obvious relevance to students interested in entrepreneurship and business, this session may have relevance to first year CORE classes.  Please encourage your students to come to this event and if you can please join us yourselves.

Mitch founded his homeowner services company while at Champlain.  it’s mission: help returning military veterans re-integrate into the civilian world.  The company has built a large following of satisfied customers and is now contemplating various expansion strategies.

This event is co-sponsored by the Champlain Women and Gender Center and Stiller Women in Business. Dream, Girl is the documentary showcasing the stories of inspiring & ambitious female entrepreneurs. Mary Evslin, a Champlain trustee, is underwriting the screening and will offer her perspective on her experience as an entrepreneur.
