Celebrate fall with us! To mark Open Studio weekend, we share carving, crafting, and art with club meetings, demonstrations, and workshops.
A few highlights:
• Green Mountain Woodcarvers: Monthly meeting and carve-in : Saturday, 9 – 1
At the Carve-In, members will work on a variety of carving projects. Carvers are always happy to explain how they carve and to share their expertise with others. Ask questions and become a member!
• Leaf Garlands with Lori Hinrichsen : Saturday 2 – 4
Celebrate fall! Join artist Lori Hinrichsen in making Leaf Garlands in our Treehouse! We will gather leaves and use needle and thread to make a cascade of color. Maximum 12 participants, so please pre-register. Ages 7 and up. Suggested donation: $5
• Soap Carving for Fledglings : Sunday 2 – 3
Kids aged 6 and up try out soap carving—an introduction toward woodcarving and an art in its own right. No upper age but 12 participants, please. Pre-register by email: museum@birdsofvermont.org.
