Seeking Youth Advocate for a fulltime AmeriCorps position supporting Youth Outreach and Economic Opportunity with CEDO, City of Burlington.
Join our dynamic AmeriCorps team and in a year of service you will receive training, provide direct service to support economic opportunity for individuals from underserved populations, support innovative responses to pressing community problems and capacity building for organizational change.

English for Employment Assistant part time AmeriCorps serving with the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program: play a direct role in assisting refugees in improving their English skills, improving employability, accessing economic opportunities, and attaining economic self-sufficiency; in promoting healthy refugee lifestyles; and in increasing cultural competency among people that serve refugees.

Economic Opportunity and Fair Housing Assistant full time AmeriCorps member with CEDO, City of Burlington: gather community input through community meetings and activities, interviews, and outreach to underserved populations to develop local fair housing plans. The AmeriCorps member will use local data and knowledge of the community, along with supplied data to analyze demographics, disparities in access to opportunities, housing needs and racially or ethnically concentrated areas of poverty, to inform goals regarding housing, equity, and opportunity.

Full Time position requires 1,700 hours (average 35 hours per week) for one year. Member benefits include a living allowance of $14,000 (pre-tax), and an education award of $5,775 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service.  Other benefits include health insurance, federal school loan forbearance, and substantial training opportunities.

Half Time position requires 900 hours (average 20 hours per week) for one year. Member benefits include a living allowance of $7,406 (pre-tax), and an education award of $2,888 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service.  Other benefits include federal school loan forbearance, and substantial training opportunities
