Town Forest Trek: A Guided Bicycle Tour of Town Forests
Join us as we bicycle through the dirt roads of Calais and East Montpelier and explore the rich heritage of our town forests. We will stop at three town forests and other local landmarks to enjoy presentations about the natural and cultural history of the wonderful local resources. Presented by the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program Advisory Council and the Calais Conservation Commission. The event is free, and open to everyone. Thanks to the support of our many sponsors, boxed lunches from the Adamant Village Coop are available to purchase during the registration process for $5.00. When: Saturday, October 3, 2015 9:00am-to 3:30pm
Where: The tour will begin in Kent’s Corner at the Robinson Water-Powered Saw Mill and end at the Kent Tavern in Calais
Registration: Pre-registration is required for everyone! The event is free for those bringing a lunch, however for planning purpose, we need to know who’s planning on joining us! Please register by Thursday, October 1st. Register Now
