350 VT Internship Positions

350Vermont is seeking 3 interns starting in the winter. All positions are excellent opportunity to build organizing skills in a climate justice non-profit. Please note that the Climate Cabaret Intern needs to be based in Brattleboro in January and February. *Climate Change Cabaret Intern *
The Climate Change Cabaret <https://350vermont.org/climate-cabaret-2/> is an
arts event that aims to raise public awareness of the climate crisis
through the expressions of various artists. The Climate Change Cabaret
Intern will help direct and produce the cabaret in Putney, Vermont in
February. Roles will include coordination with artists, 350VT staff and
volunteers, event planning, fundraising, outreach, press and social
media. *This internship will be based in the Brattleboro area and is a 7 week internship
in January and February. *

*Climate Justice Intern*
350 Vermont is seeking an intern to help with the Tar Sands Free VT
<https://tarsandsfreevermont.org/> campaign. This campaign aims to raise
public awareness of and mobilize opposition to industry plans to use the 60
year old Portland Montreal Pipeline (PMPL) for transporting tar sands
products through New England. The Campaign Intern will help to support a
statewide book club on Naomi Klein’s new book, “This Changes Everything”
and will help to organize a First Nations speaking tour and Northeast
Regional strategy gathering in the spring. Intern would support outreach,
public education forums, film screenings, tabling at local events, press
and social media, possibly door-to-door canvassing and preparation of
presentations. *Based in Burlington or Central Vermont and is a semester
long internship for the spring semester 2015.*

*Divest VT Intern*
One internship is available with the Divest VT
<https://350vermont.org/current-campaigns/divestment/> campaign.  Work with
students and citizens across Vermont urging institutions, municipalities,
and the state itself to divest from fossil fuel companies that are causing
the climate crisis with the 350 Vermont Divest VT campaign.  The Divest VT
intern will work on the campaign that is supporting new and existing
student-led divestment movements at Vermont colleges, urging politicians to
pass legislation to divest the Vermont state pension fund from fossil
fuels, and educating the public about the ways to divest individually and
in their communities. *Based in Burlington and is a semester long
internship for the spring semester 2015.*
