This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the creation of the University of Vermont Natural Areas.  To celebrate this milestone, UVM is hosting several events through the semester.

Thursday, Dec. 11, 9:00am-4:00pm, Grand Maple Ballroom, Davis Center Research Workshop: Envisioning a World Class Science and Stewardship Facility for Mount Mansfield Held in conjunction with the Vermont Monitoring Cooperative Annual Meeting

 

The first is a seminar by Rick Paradis, Director of the UVM Natural Areas on the history of the natural areas system.  This is scheduled for Thursday, September 25 at 4:30pm in Aiken 103.  The title of Rick’s talk is:
“UVM Natural Areas: 40 years of Conservation and Stewardship on Behalf of Field Education and Research”
