VERMONT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL, a 3-day celebration of the many cultures that comprise our community is seeking volunteers, November 30-December 2, to help set up at the Expo Center, sell entrance tickets, staff craft booths, and various other tasks. PHON-A-THON – Burlington Dismas House needs volunteers to help raise funds by preparing donor letters during their annual Phone-A-Thon on November 12-14, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at St. Michael’s College. Dinner provided. Contact Zoe Bishop at 658-0381 or email zoe@dismasofvt.org.

ON THE BOARD – Milton Family Community Center is looking to expand its Board membership and is looking for volunteers who are passionate about the health and wellness of children and families and have the time to take on a leadership role to help the Center grow. TAKE A WALK – Alzheimer’s Association is seeking volunteers to get involved with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s by helping to plan the event from kick-off to wrap-up. SCIENCE & NATURE – ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain is in search of volunteers who care about the Lake, want to connect with the community, want to pursue interests in STEM education, teach kids about bear and moose, and more. Volunteers may feed the turtles, connect with people about water quality issues, teach kids to program mini robots, participate in seasonal activities to enrich science learning, and more. FEEDING THE NEED – Age Well is looking for volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels and provide a friendly visit and safety check to recipients in Burlington, South Burlington, Essex and surrounding areas. Time commitment is based on your availability – once a week, once a month, whatever works best. Weekdays from 9:30-11:45 a.m. Organizations can also donate a day! GUEST CHEF – Ronald McDonald House Charities invited volunteers to use their cooking and/or baking skills to make cookies, prepare a dessert or plan and prepare a dinner meal for guest families at Ronald McDonald House.
