Designed for faculty, administrators, staff and student activists of all disciplines, this workshop aims to help participants interconnect and integrate sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion into their campus, curriculum and departments. Participants will learn about diversity and sustainability models from Bemidji State University, North Hennepin Community College, and the University of Minnesota. The deadline to register is June 8.

Dickinson College invites faculty from other colleges and universities to participate in its Valley & Ridge Faculty Development Workshop, which focuses on integrating social, economic and/or environmental sustainability into new and existing courses across the curriculum. The deadline to register is March 31. Dickinson College is one of 13 regional AASHE Centers for Sustainability Across the Curriculum.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency invites colleges and universities to apply for an EPA Pollution Prevention grant. The grant aims to provide technical assistance about source reduction techniques and to identify, develop, document and share pollution prevention best management practices and innovations. The deadline to apply is April 26.

The Sunrise Movement is recruiting at least 100 young people to serve for a six-month stint as full-time volunteer organizers from June through the election in November. After a one-week bootcamp at the beginning of summer 2018, organizers will fan out to one of five politically significant states to investigate the impact of big oil on elections, challenge political candidates to refuse donations from fossil fuel executives, and endorse and campaign for specific candidates at the local, state and federal levels.

Focus is a hands-on leadership program for young people interested in immersing themselves in climate impacts and solutions, and launching their own academic, personal and professional paths toward action. Participants may be eligible for up to 18 credits each semester through Portland State University.

Interested students can apply for a $250 or $500 stipend to attend the Citizens’ Climate International Conference and Lobby Day in Washington, D.C., from June 10-12. The Diversity Scholarship is open to people of color. The Conservative Scholarship is open to anyone identifying politically right of center. The deadline to apply is April 15.

The Green Program is an experiential education and workforce development program for young leaders in sustainable development. The organization has introduced a model for education abroad that provides purposeful, hands-on industry exposure. As commitment partners to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the accredited program aims to expose students to sustainability challenges and initiatives around the world.
