Professional Development Educator/ Farm to School Professional Learning Coordinator
Join an amazing team of educators dedicated to educating for a sustainable future. This position plays a key role in our professional learning programs for PK-12 educators focused in farm-to-school, education for sustainability, and place-based learning.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the education team working on the development and coordination of professional learning programs for educators.
Nurture partnerships and partner programs that provide support to PK-12 schools locally and regionally
Coordinate summer professional learning institutes and semester & year long programs in schools
Communication regarding programs, services, and impacts/evaluation to a diverse audience
Assist in program planning, evaluation and documentation
Supervising staff, volunteers, and interns as needed
Approximately 50% of time spent off-farm. Some nights and weekends required.
practical experience in EFS, farm-to-school/food systems education and/or place-based learning
3 + years of providing and leading professional learning experiences for educators
Classroom teaching and/or other relevant k-12 school experience
Fluent in standards-based curriculum development
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and intercultural competency
Commitment to relationship building with multiple stakeholders, working with diverse audiences of all ages
