Contrary to some opinions, the push for inclusive gender language is not new. Whether it is the assumption or imposition of masculinity or of gender, there has been a push for the English language to allow for more. What does this mean when more is not grammatically correct? What is our role as a college that prepares students for the world of work? what can we learn from the world of work and from other arenas? For example, Sweden recently included a gender neutral pronoun in its dictionary (Thanks Betsy for the information)
