Environmental Education Internship Opportunity with Burlington Forest Preschool

The following is an internship posting from Burlington Forest Preschool, courtesy of Nicole Mandeville:

Burlington Forest Preschool is looking for interns for the 2015 – 2016 school year. We are a licensed program with small classes, focused on learning through and about nature. This means we spend as much time outside as possible, doing a lot of experimenting and exploring!

We are looking for people who love both working with young children and the natural world. A plus would be either experience or interest in place-based education or using an emergent curriculum. We’d also be excited to work with someone who has their own ideas to share and implement. We are open to placing interns by semester or for the full year.

Our schedule:
  • The Saplings program (children 3 – 5 years) runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We are looking for one or more interns to work with us either half days (8:30 – 12:30) or full days (8:30 – 3:30).
  • The Seedlings program (children 2.5 – 3 years) runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 – 12:30. We would need one intern for this class.
