A Celebration of the World’s Amazing Lakes

Lisa Borre is a lake conservationist, freelance writer and regular contributor to National Geographic’s Water Currents blog. She is an active member of the Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network and has traveled the world visiting lakes on six continents. She was born and raised in the Great Lakes region, graduated from the University of Vermont, and served as coordinator of the Lake Champlain Basin Program during its infancy. With her husband, she co-founded LakeNet, a world lakes network.
