VCLT’s Local Government Day 2/19

Featuring a morning panel with Rep. Janet Ancel, Chair of House Ways and Means and Sen. Tim Ashe, Chair of Senate Finance to discuss education funding and other revenue issues that affect municipalities. Participants will also have access to concurrent policy briefings (property tax increases, lakeshores and TMDL’s and dog and pet breeder licensing), in addition to committee hearing attendance and general networking.

House Committee Approves
Mandatory Sick Leave Bill

The House Committee on General, Housing and Military Affairs passed H.208 with six votes. Rep. Warren Van Wyck, R-Ferrisburgh, opposed the motion. The bill goes next to the House Committee on Appropriations. Read More at VTDigger.org
