| The stewardMRV initiative launched in May of 2021 as a response to issues associated with the increased use of the Mad River Valley’s outdoor spaces. As the project began to take shape, it became clear that the main goal of this program is to instill a greater sense of environmental stewardship among both residents and visitors of the valley. The stewardMRV Coordinator will work with a diverse group of recreation, environmental, and land management groups and individuals to support direct volunteer stewardship efforts while using traditional and social media to foster a broad ethos of stewardship.The position will be overseen by the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce.
