The past few months have been filled with dreams of life returning “back to normal” and looking forward to a brighter future. We hope this newsletter gives you hope and encouragement as we dive into October which is also Fair Trade month.

Our Fair Fall program continues this month with the theme of Racial Justice. Each month through the end of 2020 we will announce a new theme that’s sure to inspire continued learning and growth in your advocacy for Fair Trade and social justice.

Fair Fall Theme: Racial Justice

Fair Trade Campaigns Launches New Racial Justice Resource Hub

Fair Trade Campaigns stands against all systems of oppression, seeks to ensure human dignity for all, and aims to support the Black Lives Matter movement by being more actively anti-racist. That’s why this month, Fair Trade Campaigns is excited to launch a new racial justice resource hub.

On the hub, advocates can learn about the intersections between racial justice and Fair Trade, listen to captivating talks from previous Fair Trade Campaigns’ conferences, and learn how to put their passion into action to create a just and equitable world.

Celebrate Fair Trade Month with Fair Trade Federation & Fair Trade USA

October is Fair Trade month! It’s the perfect time to share information, buy a bag of Fair Trade coffee, and thank essential workers across the globe for making our day to day lives easier.

Did you know that your purchase of Fair Trade certified products helps support over 950,000 workers globally? This is incredible any time of year, but has proven to be especially helpful during the COVID19 pandemic. Take a look at what our partners are doing to celebrate Fair Trade month below!

Join Fair Trade Federation online this month by using the hashtags #FairTradeSolidarity and #FairTradeMonth. Share photos of your favorite Fair Trade products, your local Fair Trade store, or simply share posts and stories from your favorite Fair Trade organizations online.

Take the pledge to “Seek the Seal” with Fair Trade USA this month and share your commitment online with the hashtag #ShareYourFair.

Take the time this month to check your products for the symbols below and take a look at our Fair Trade Product List. You might be surprised to find some of your favorite products are Fair Trade certified!

Take the Project Green 31 Day Challenge

What is it?
For 10 years, Project Green Challenge has directly touched the lives of tens of millions of students across the globe. Throughout the month of October participants can take part in daily environmental-themed challenges to win prizes and have a chance to attend the PGC Finals in San Francisco next year (pending state and local Covid restrictions.)

How do I get involved?
Simply sign up on the Project Green Challenge website and wait for challenges to be sent to your phone at 6am PT daily.
