Champlain has been connected and partnering with Outright Vermont in one way or another for many years now, and today it’s with great enthusiasm that I am reaching out to see if we can get a Champlain team on Church Street pulling a fire truck!
Outright turns 30 this year, and we are growing this highly visible and ever-so-wacky event so that LGBTQ+ youth across Vermont know who’s got their back.
We know your values as an institution of education are in alignment with creating a Vermont where everyone belongs, not to mention does so with integrity, service, and heart!
The Fire Truck Pull is a way to help send that message to other community members, businesses, and individuals across the state.
I’m attaching a ‘how to’ guide to this e-mail, which highlights the different ways to get involved – there are sponsorship opportunities, Or there are team opportunities – I was imagining the later 🙂 Event is Saturday September 28, 10:30-1pm-ish.
Sponsor materials are here:
Broad info about the event is live on our website: http://www.outrightvt.org/firetruckpull/
Together we will make sure youth – and their families – find the community and resources needed to know they are not alone….
Thanks in advance for considering your participation. And Happy Pride!
All my best,
Dana
p.s. Creating a team and actually pulling the truck is OPTIONAL, in case that part sounds terrible… but man oh man would you all look SO good doing it!
