Salvation Farms is looking for the right person to fill our Workforce Development Coordinator position.

This position is responsible for coordinating and administering the work-readiness training components of Salvation Farms’ Vermont Commodity Program. Included is trainee recruitment, case-management, soft-skill development, and employment search. Additionally, this staff person will foster and maintain area partnerships related to our workforce development initiative.

Recruit & Support Trainees
Organize Field Trips
Coordinate Guest Instructors
Lead Employment Search
The Workforce Development Coordinator will lead and support hard and soft skill training, provide exposure to employers, and organize industry recognized certification trainings, field trips, guest presenters, documentaries, and facilitate discussions. Assisting with production, food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency in our food hub will be part of this staff person’s role.

Anyone who is considering applying must have social work experience and a desire to support individuals with barriers to employment (i.e. out-of-school youth, those in recovery, ex-incarcerated, single parents, etc.).
