Community Engagement for Environmental Educators

NHEE’s Spring Workshop and Annual Meeting
Tuesday, March 27, 8:45 am – 3:30 pm
Antioch University New England, Keene, NH
Join NHEE and educators from around the region as we dive into NAAEE’s newest publication, Community Engagement: Guidelines for Excellence. Jean Kayira and Libby McCann of Antioch University New England and ee360 will facilitate a full morning, large-group exploration of the guidelines, which is suitable for environmental educators from all backgrounds. Included in the workshop will be an overview of the publication, as well as in-depth activities.

The guidelines identify five key characteristics that provide a high-level framework for working with communities. Although environmental education that successfully engages communities has these five characteristics in common, we will focus on one of those characteristics:  collaboration and inclusion.
