As a perk of being a member of VNRC, you’re invited to have a seat on our bus to Washington, D.C. for the Climate March! Earlier this year we successfully made the trek to our nation’s capitol, taking over 50 feminists to the Women’s March. On April 29th, we’ll make a similar statement for the climate.

Three years ago in New York City, 400,000 people took to the streets to tell President Obama to prioritize the climate. The current administration is dismissing science and public opinion, and its cabinet members have had ties to the fossil fuel industry. It’s time for the People’s Climate to be taken back by the people.

Bus tickets for current members are $125. If you’re not a member, or need to renew your membership, you can do so here.

The bus leaves the night of Friday, April 28th from Montpelier and travels through the night, arriving in D.C. the morning of Saturday, April 29th in time for the march. We’ll board the bus for the return trip early that evening, and be back in Montpelier Sunday morning.

Payment is due by Friday, April 7th. Reserve early, though. Some of you may recall the waitlist that developed for the Women’s March bus!

VNRC is also helping to organize the Montpelier sister march, so if you can’t make it down to D.C., you can still rally for the climate locally. Be sure to RSVP- the police told us they didn’t want the interstate blocked again, so getting an accurate count helps the march organizers plan for an optimal route and parking.
