If you haven’t taken full advantage of the fall foliage yet, this aerial video of Groton State Park should get you back on track (video by Green Mountain Drone). Autumn in Vermont is cherished both by residents and the state’s many “leaf peeper” visitors. There is, of course, some fascinating science behind the annual display, and the rich sights and smells of the landscape in transition beckons us to get outside and explore.
We hope you’re enjoying all that fall has to offer, and also finding some time to learn about the threats to our forested landscapes, from forest fragmentation to global warming. Find more information on how VNRC is taking on forest fragmentation and global warming at our website, vnrc.org.
