EcoFiction
This group explores nature and environmental topics, including climate change, in literature and the arts. Though the focus is eco-fiction, we occasionally talk about notable nonfiction, including nature writing. Academic discussions (such as ecocriticism) are also welcome.
Note that our central hub is https://eco-fiction.com/, which covers a wide variety of prose and fiction in the genres of literary, political, science, speculative, Anthropocene, and weird fiction, among other popular genres. Magical realism, pastoral, Arcadian, and so on are included in this melting pot. The site has a database of over 400 books. This particular newsgroup extends to nonfiction, including essays, journalistic and science articles, and graphic novels. We welcome all arts (film, dance, still, photography, painting, quilting, drawing, performance, etc.) to the discussion of “Ecology in Literature and the Arts.”
