When students and faculty return to the classrooms and computer labs this semester, you’ll notice a small change. Building upon the success of a pilot project we conducted last year in Joyce Hall, we’ve removed the trash and recycling bins from the individual classrooms in CCM, Ireland, Foster, and Wick and have made triple waste stations (compost/recycling/trash) in the hallways instead. With this effort we are able to:

• provide receptacles for compost collection,
• significantly decrease the amount of plastic liners used in the bins each day, and
• have a more streamlined collection system for our custodial team.
