As the Bicycle Friendly Community Specialist for the League of American Bicyclists, Stephen Clark has provided consulting services to over 100 cities to improve conditions for walking and bicycling. Prior to his position with the League, Clark was the Program Manager for the Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program in Minneapolis — a seven year federal program to increase bicycling and walking. He is the co-founder of the Minnesota Coalition of Bicyclists (now the Bike Alliance of Minnesota), past-president of the League of American Bicyclists, and the first Bicycle/Pedestrian Program Manager for the City of Boulder, Colorado.  He has also worked as an independent planning consultant and was the Northern Field Coordinator for the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.

Steve is spending the day in Burlington meeting with city planners and bike advocates and reviewing Burlington’s plans. In his talk he will review the work underway in the City and progress towards making Burlington more bike and pedestrian friendly.
