Job Alert: Outreach Professional at the UVM Transportation Research Center (Burlington)
This position is responsible for program coordination and implementation of programming to build capacity among stakeholders to address current and emerging needs of a 21st century transportation sector workforce across the Northeast United States and manage a state coalition and portfolio of activities to decrease the use of fossil fuels in transportation as part of a national initiative. The ideal candidate will be an experience and competent network builder and manager with experience bringing diverse stakeholder groups together, identifying common needs and resources and communicating effectively about opportunities and specific actions to meet common goals. This position reports directly to the Associate Director and will work closely with them to design and implement program approaches.

The UVM TRC is the host for the Northeast Transportation Workforce Center (https://www.uvm.edu/trc/ntwc/), one of five centers nationally, and for the Vermont Clean Cities Coalition (https://vtccc.w3.uvm.edu/), a US Department of Energy designation and outreach program. The Outreach Professional will assume significant responsibilities with both of these ongoing programs, and for generating innovative approaches to grow the programs and TRC capacity to deliver them. This position will be part of the TRC staff team and contribute to the overall mission and work of the Center. Some domestic travel is required.
