Job Description:
The Assistant Store Manager position plays a key role for the Peace & Justice Store. The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in carrying out the day-to-day operations of the store and in providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include recruiting, training and supervising volunteers; visual merchandising; special events; and off-site sales in coordination with the store manager.
The educational component for the store is extremely important for the Center. The Assistant Manager may work with the store manager to develop and coordinate educational presentations related to Fair Trade. Our volunteer program is a major component of store operations and is coordinated by the Assistant Manager. This is a 16 hour/week position; 15 hours will be regular scheduled hours at the center, one hour will remain unscheduled to compensate for situations that arise off-hours.
