A PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS DAY is being planned for Monday, April 13th in Burlington.
This day is a creation of Gross National Happiness USA, a non-profit organization intended to raise awareness of our responsibility to create happiness and to increase opportunities for people to share and discuss ideas about how to build more happiness into our futures.
The project’s planner, Davin Steiger, is looking for some team members who are just as excited about this event as he is.
Please reach out if you have interest in helping in any way with this event. Things such as coordinating, contacting, planning, fundraising and advertising are needed.
If you or anyone you know have skills you would be willing to share in a workshop or class setting on this day (dancing, singing, story-telling, craft, yoga, meditation, etc.), please get in touch with Davin.
P.S. Linda Wheatley and Paula Francis, two Vermont women who are the co-organizers of Gross National Happiness USA, are currently walking across the country in pursuit of happiness! The intention of their walk is to draw attention to the need for our common values to drive our governmental policies. Linda and Paula have been advocating for the use of an expanded set of progress indicators which represent our common values. They are asking the people they meet as they walk what makes them happy and what is most important in their lives.
