In 2012, the Vermont Department of Health obtained a four-year grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to assess the potential health impacts of climate change in Vermont,and to develop appropriate public health adaptation strategies. Representatives from the Health Department will discuss their work to-date identifying health impact priority areas for the State and describe the progress made in quantifying the potential health risks of extreme heat.
