Vermont 4000 Summer expedition with Crow’s Path

This summer (May 30-June 9) join Crow’s Path on a 10-day hike/paddle expedition in the wilds of Vermont. The expedition weaves primitive skills and natural history together as we explore the beauty of the Green Mountains and Champlain Valley, from the bald alpine summits of Mt Mansfield, to the densely vegetated floodplains of the Winooski River.

vermont 4000

Our trip begins on the Long Trail at Rte 15 in Johnson and heads south over the highest elevation in Vermont and on to the Winooski River as we paddle to Lake Champlain, the lowest elevation in Vermont. On our paddle we’ll be cooking wild edibles over a fire that we’ll start using fire-by-friction, eating with spoons that we’ll carve along the way, and tracking otters along the banks!

Ages:18+
Dates: 6-days hiking, 4-days paddling
Cost: $1200 (scholarships available)
