Real Food Challenge Regional Strategy Retreat

Hi!  My name is Ani Quigley.  I’m a senior here at UVM and the Student Chair of the Real Food Working Group, the committee tasked with implementing the Real Food Campus Commitment (20% real food by 2020!) at UVM.

I’m writing to tell you about an exciting opportunity: this weekend, from Friday evening, February 7, through Sunday evening, February 9, the Real Food Challenge will be holding a Regional Strategy Retreat right here in Burlington!  And I would like to invite you to attend!

The Regional Strategy Retreat will gather approximately 40 students from the upper northeast, along with organizers from the Real Food Challenge, for an exciting and intensive weekend of community-building, skill-sharing, and strategizing.  It’s going to be an awesome learning experience, with workshops on corporate food service, food justice, and leadership – to name a few!  It will also include a full day of campaign planning.  If you’re passionate about our broken food system and raring and ready to change it, this Retreat could be invaluable to you!  It’s also a great way to get more involved with the Real Food Challenge at UVM.

Space is limited, so register here ASAP.  The registration fee is $35, covering the cost of food, materials, training facilitation, and facilities.

Please don’t hesitate to email me with any questions, and I hope to see you there!
