NWF Campus Ecology Fellow asks, “What would happen if crude oil spilled right here?”NWF Campus Ecology Fellow Kaity Thompson set off on a weeklong journey to answer just that question. In mid-January, Thompson trekked through three states, VT, NH and ME, along the route of the Portland-Montreal pipeline (PMPL) to learn firsthand what a spill would mean for frontline ecosystems and communities.

Thompson and fellow trekker Brett Chamberlin documented the hike via Twitter and blogging, summarizing the pristine natural landscapes and interviewing business owners and residents along the route. Read the blog posts and take action to protect Northeast moose from dirty oil.
