Ever wonder what happens to something after it goes into the blue recycling bin? Come and find out by visiting the Materials Recovery Facility (or MRF – rhymes with smurf).

Due to debris hazards including glass and other sharp objects, we require closed-toe shoes and suggest that all participants wear sturdy-soled shoes that cover the entire foot. Anyone wearing sandals, flip-flops, or other strappy/open shoes will not be allowed in the MRF. We provide hardhats and safety glasses, which must be worn at all times. Tours are partially indoors and partially outside and take place regardless of the weather. Please dress accordingly. Tours also involve some steps and tight spaces.
