Project Coordinator

Part-time temporary position focused on FY14 grant project to “expand and integrate regional Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies”.  The overall goal is to provide education and awareness of transportation demand management (TDM) strategies, services and options to businesses, developers and property owners in the region, particularly in the proposed City Center development in South Burlington.  The coordinator will be employed and paid by CATMA.

  • Status:              This is a grant funded position thru 6/30/14

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for regular tracking of business outreach and activities
  • Work closely with Executive Director and Regional Project Coordinator in business outreach, to include identifying strategies to engage businesses in TDM solutions that reduce SOV
  • Coordinate and develop target businesses to outreach, along with CATMA and municipal project teams
  • Attend meetings to discuss, plan and track project scope and schedule
  • Research and compile best practices and options for implementing TDM into local regulations
  • Assist with coordination of on-site events, administration of CATMA member programs
  • Assist with coordination, promotion and conducting employee transportation surveys for employers
  •  Work closely with CATMA team, which includes:
    – identify and coordinate TDM education and awareness event opportunities
    – create promotional communications, materials, events and activities for new CATMA members
    – initiate and assist with events supporting Way To Go! Week and Vt Bike Challenge and other regional transportation demand management (TDM) programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Executive Director and/or Program & Outreach Manager

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required.

Experience in a transportation, urban design/planning or related field preferred.

Knowledge and familiarity with Transportation Demand Management (TDM); local, regional and state service providers, municipal planning is a plus.

Enthusiastic about sustainable multi-modal transportation

Comfortable with public speaking to a variety of constituents

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively

Reliable, self starter and dynamic work ethic

Working knowledge of Mac is a plus
