4000 Miles is a hilarious and heartfelt play about a grandmother and her grandson struggling to find common ground.  The grandson, Leo, has just biked across the country, from Washington to New York, and ends up staying with his grandmother, Vera, until he is ready to dip his front tire in the ocean (a cross-country cycling tradition) and until he can come to terms with the recent events in his life.  This story is so light and amusing on the surface yet surprisingly complex.
