September & October Volunteer Opportunities with Local Motion

Local Motion’s Valet Bike Parking and the Island Line Ferry both are in need of volunteers! Here are some requests from Peg (Bike Ferry) and Stu (Valet Bike Parking):

Valet Bike Parking:

Volunteers! Time is running out to get your City Market hours in for Valet bike Parking! Squirrel those hours away now and enjoy the fruits of your labor this winter!

Take advantage of the cooler fall weather Valet Bike Parking volunteer opportunities to replenish your larder of City Market hours. There are still some choice spots available at the Farmers’ Market as well as for a few of the Festival days!  Here are a few events for you to select from- choose 1 or 2, or collect them all- a loaf of Gerard’s Bread tastes a lot better at 12% off!South Burlington Bikes and Bites this Wednesday.  The last one of the season! It’s turning into a very popular event with lots of food trucks and always a great band. Bike ridership continues to grow- up 50% from the first one.  Help us make South Burlington a cycling city through providing that “last mile” option of Valet Bike Parking.

Oktoberfest at the Waterfront still has lots of spots open. You don’t have to wear your lederhosen to help us park bikes, but you can if you want to! It should be an interesting crowd.

Beach Bites in Leddy Park has one more event this season- this time it’s on Sunday October 9th from 2-5 in the afternoon. We’ll set up and be on our way home early.

Thanks again for all of the great effort you’ve put in this year- we really appreciate it. I hope you see one of the spots that will work for you and that you can help us finish the Valet Bike Parking Season off on a high note.
