AMIR PROJECT – Summer Job in Environmental Education

CALLING ALL ENVIRONMENTALISTS, FARMERS, EDUCATORS, AND THE LIKE!

This summer there is a great opportunity for you to develop your skills, get paid, and make a difference!

The AMIR Organization recruits young, passionate folks like you to develop educational gardens in summer camps all over the US! AMIR offers a week-long training seminar where you learn to design, build, plant, and maintain large-scale organic gardens, as well as best practices for engaging campers throughout the entirety of the project. Through peer-led workshops, Farmers learn to run programming using the AMIR Curriculum, and build a network of like-minded individuals that serve as a system of support throughout the summer and beyond.

This is for anyone interested in travel, environmental education, and having a paid internship this summer!

By engaging more youth and young adults in our network, AMIR is cultivating a “Generation of Farmers” that is more enlightened with regards to their interaction with each other and the earth. We envision a future where alumni of our Fellowship commit themselves to careers in public service, education, and policy to build a more just and equitable sociopolitical system wherever they go.

See you this summer!

If you have any questions about the program, application, or life in general do not hesitate to contact AMIR.
