MENTOR! MENTOR! – Watershed Mentoring is seeking mentors for school-aged children and adolescents that are “at promise” in Franklin County.  Mentees are waiting in St. Albans, Richford, Swanton, Enosburg, and Fairfield.  Mentors meet with mentees for an hour or two in the community year round; school-based mentors meet with a child during school lunch and recess for an hour a week while school is in session.  Those few hours make a lifetime of difference!  Training provided. Background check required.  Contact Beth Crane at 527-5049 or email beth.fcccp@gmail.com.

CRAIGSLIST HELP – Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Milton is looking for someone to assist with Craigslist postings. Take photos of store items, upload them to Craigslist with descriptions and contact information, and keep the listings up to date. Once or twice a week for 1 – 3 hours. Contact Allison DeVoe at 318-7533 or email adevoe@vermonthabitat.org.

A DRIVING NEED – Bridges to Health is in need of drivers to transport migrant farmworkers to and from medical appointments in Chittenden and Franklin Counties.  Migrant workers are an essential part of Vermont’s dairy industry and due to rural isolation are often unable to get to necessary health appointments.  Flexible scheduling.  Background check required.  Contact Sarah Braun-Hamilton at 476-2003, Ext. 11, or email sarah.braunhamilton@uvm.edu.

ADOPTION ASSISTANT – Franklin County Animal Rescue is looking for volunteers to help find new feline family members.  Tasks include asking questions, introducing the adopters to cats that might fit their families, and making follow-up calls.  Training and time to get to know the cats is provided.  Contact Hadley Shannon at 524-9650 or email volunteer@fcarpets.org.

URGENTNEED! – Age-Well-Meals on Wheels in Franklin County has an urgent need for volunteers to deliver nutritious meals in Swanton, St. Albans, Georgia, Enosburg and Richford.  Deliver meals once a week, once a month, or whatever works best for you (weekdays only).  The moment you knock on the door, you make a connection and a friend!  Deliveries are typically from 10-11:30 a.m.  Local businesses, churches and organizations are welcome to “adopt a route.”  Contact Laura Need at 662-5254 or email lneed@agewellvt.org.

LUNCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – COTS Daystation provides a free noontime meal each day and is looking for volunteers to help provide this service.   Individuals and groups can prepare a healthy meal for up to 50 people and bring it in or prepare the meal in the Daystation kitchen.  Your favorite soups or casseroles can make someone’s day!  Contact Reagan Murphy at 864-7402, Ext. 207, or email reaganm@cotsonline.org.
