May is Bike Month. Time to dust off your bike (if it gets dusty) and get out in the fresh air of beautiful springtime Vermont. Here is a tiny snapshot of bike stuff happening (there is a lot!):
May 1 – Vermont Bike Walk Challenge starts
May 2 – Queen City Bicycle Club monthly ride
May 3 – Frog Hollow Bike Swap, Middlebury
May 4 (and 5) – A whole bunch of Annual Bike Swaps happen and is the perfect time to pick up a new (used) bike for a good price:

- Earls Cyclery, South Burlington
- Alpine Shop, South Burlington
- Onion River Outdoors, Montpelier
- Plus it’s Green Up Day. Ride to your favorite spot and pick up some litter on the way!
May 7 – Cowbell Mobile Bikeshop is at Lakeside. Sign up here
May 8 – National Bike To School Day – Ride with your kids to school and then keep on going to “our” school
May 11 – Waterbury Sports Bike Swap, Waterbury
May 13-19 – National Bike to Work Week
May 17 – National Bike to Work Day
May 18 – South Burlington Bike Rodeo, Dorset Park.
May 22 – Cowbell Mobile Bikeshop is at Lakeside. Sign up here
May 24 – Local Motion Bike Ferry Opening Day for 2019 with a “Ride to the Ferry”!
