Thanks for all your hard work through the beginning of this year. Now that we have wrapped up our amazing and SOLD OUT National Conference, let’s focus on the upcoming month, and most importantly, World Fair Trade Day!

World Fair Trade Day – May 12th

On May 12th, communities around the world will be teaming up to celebrate the benefits Fair Trade brings to producers and their families.
As a member of our Northeast Team, we invite you to join us in recognizing this important day!
See below for some tips on how to participate, and visit the World Fair Trade Organization’s website to learn more.
1. Buy Fair Trade: On May 12th, be sure to purchase your favorite Fair Trade treat. Better yet, commit yourself to a Fair Trade week!
2. Attend a World Fair Trade Day Celebration: Research upcoming events in your area to strengthen the Northeast Fair Trade network and check out the Fair Trade Campaigns event page to look for celebrations happening near you.
3. Host your own event: Screen a Fair Trade documentary, hold a meet-up featuring Fair Trade coffee and treats, or partner with another local campaign to holding a tabling event. Find more event ideas in our event guide and see what other groups did to celebrate in 2017.

Fair Trade Your Graduation
Celebrate your graduation by giving back
Follow these tips on how to Fair Trade Your Graduation!
  1. Ask that your family members shop Fair Trade for gifts!
  2. Include Fair Trade products in your graduation celebrations – serve Fair Trade coffee and tea, or bake your own Fair Trade goods using Fair Trade sugar and cocoa.
  3. If your school allows you to order your own graduation robes, choose a brand that offers Fair Trade options.
