Please join us for a presentation and discussion session with the inspiring gender, human rights, and education activist Yassin Sarr from The Gambia. Consider bringing your classes (snacks provided). Yassin is the founder of Starfish International (http://starfishinternational.org), an organization in The Gambia focused on promoting the education and advancement of girls and young women. Each year, the organization sponsors multi-cultural education for 100 girls/young women – putting them through an intense program focused on empowering them with confidence, business skills, IT skills, communication skills, and skills in ethical thinking/critical reflection.
